Marni’s resort 2014 collection offers the label’s signature ladylike yet eccentric aesthetic with an
outing of womanly silhouettes which place focus on the waist. The color palette this season is varied; ranging from black and white to jewel toned purples, blues and greens. Skirts fall to the knee while 3/4th
length blouses are worn over cropped trousers and long tunics. The Marni woman also makes a nod to the seventies for resort, wearing bold psychedelic prints that play off floral motifs. Bags this season are
rectangle-shaped made with contrasting borders, laminated effects and perforation techniques while shoes range from flat sandals to platform heels.

For BCBG Max Azria’s resort 2014 collection, designer Lubov Azria was inspired by her trip to Coachella.
The BCBG woman shows a more grown-up perspective of the music festival’s well-known bohemian style with a juxtaposition of flowy silhouettes and razor-cut sharp lines. A daytime color palette of bright whites and pastels transitions to sunset with black and grey hues. Prints are flowery with a futuristic monochrome effect while bags are saddle style.

When it comes to its resort 2014 collection, Chloe juxtaposes laid-back style with active sportswear and a Parisian elegance. Silhouettes are relaxed yet tailored with an emphasis on trousers and oversized outerwear. Prints for the season are mostly graphic stripes in black and white or pastel hues. A menswear
inspiration can be found in not only the pants but also crisp popeline shirts. Still, the Chloe woman shows off her feminine side in layered t-shirt dresses and pleated skirts of the season.
